Few trips cover this much of Morocco without feeling rushed.

Day 1: Arrive in Agadir

Our driver meets you at the airport, and that is where your 12 day Agadir Morocco tours experience begins. Transfer to your hotel, check in, and take the rest of the day at your own pace. Rest, eat, walk around. Tomorrow starts early.

Day 2: Agadir - Taroudant - Ait Ben Haddou - Ouarzazate

The road out of Agadir climbs and shifts quickly. First stop is Taroudant, a walled town sitting in a saffron-growing valley with the Atlas Mountains stacked up behind it. Quieter than Marrakech, less visited, and worth the stop. From there, the drive continues through Berber villages until the earthen towers of Ait Ben Haddou come into view: a UNESCO World Heritage Site that has stood in for ancient Rome, biblical Judea, and half a dozen other worlds on film. Gladiator, Jesus of Nazareth, and Alexander. After exploring, the road continues to Ouarzazate, the so-called Gate of the Desert, for the night.

Day 3: Ouarzazate to Todra Gorge and Merzouga: The Agadir to Sahara Tour Begins

This part of the 12-Day Morocco Tour from Agadir takes you through some of southern Morocco’s most iconic scenery. Travel through the Skoura palm grove and Rose Valley before reaching the dramatic Todra Gorges. After a stop in Erfoud and Rissani, continue to Merzouga where the first Sahara dunes appear on the horizon. Check in to your hotel, enjoy dinner, and spend the night overlooking the desert.

Day 4: Merzouga - Tour of the dunes - Nomad Family - Khamlia - Sahara Desert

Breakfast first, then a 4x4 heads into the black volcanic desert, where fossil beds sit just below the surface and the terrain looks like nowhere else in Morocco. A nomad family visit follows: tea in a traditional tent, genuine conversation, and no performance. Khamlia village comes next, where the Gnawa community keeps alive a musical tradition rooted in sub-Saharan Africa. Lake Dayate Sarji, which fills in spring and brings in pink flamingos, is worth a short stop too.

Back in Merzouga for lunch, then a walk through the oasis irrigation channels before the afternoon camel trek into the dunes. The camp is simple and comfortable. Dinner, live Saharan music, and a sky full of stars with no light pollution to compete. Waking up here is what people mean when they talk about a Sahara Desert adventure.

Day 5: Sahara Desert - Midelt - Azrou - Ifrane - Fez

Wake up early for a date with the sunrise over the dunes. It is one of those moments that is difficult to describe and impossible to forget.

After breakfast, this Agadir to Sahara tour route turns north through the Tafilalet palm grove, the largest in the world, where thousands of palms line a 20 km stretch of road. Continue to the Ziz Valley, where a river fed by the High Atlas nourishes dense palm groves below. Stop to take in the views before heading to Midelt for free time and lunch.

The afternoon brings a complete change of mood. The Cedar Forest outside Azrou is cool, green, and home to Barbary macaques that wander right to the roadside. Next comes Ifrane, often called the Switzerland of Morocco, sitting at 1,630 meters above sea level. Its wide avenues, tidy streets, and alpine architecture feel surreal after two days in the desert. Arrive in Fez around 6pm for check-in and overnight.

Day 6 Fez: One of Morocco's Great Imperial Cities

Fez is old in a way that takes a while to sink in. An official guide picks you up after breakfast, and the day covers Al Qaraouine University, the Chouara Tannery, where leather has been processed the same way for centuries, the Attarine Museum, the Royal Palace gate, the Moulay Idriss Mausoleum, and the Nejjarine Museum. A traditional tile cooperative shows you what Morocco cultural craftsmanship actually looks like up close. The afternoon is free: most people find a rooftop, order tea, and watch the medina move below them. That works perfectly.

Fez

Day 7: Fez to Chefchaouen

The drive to Chefchaouen passes through the Rif Mountains with a stop at Lake N'zala along the way. Chefchaouen, the Blue Pearl, earns the name. The blue-washed alleyways and tiled steps of the medina are the kind of thing you photograph fifty times and still feel like you haven't captured properly. Check in, then take the afternoon to wander with no plan. An hour turns into three without you noticing.

Day 8: Chefchaouen to Rabat

Today we head south toward Rabat, the capital of Morocco. After about four hours of scenic drive, the tour starts with Hassan Tower, which is among the most identifiable historical sites in Morocco. Also, the Mausoleum of King Mohammed V, a beautiful marble structure, pays homage to the grandfather of the present-day king.

Also, visit Kasbah of the Oudayas, where the tour takes you through white and blue streets with a magnificent view of the Atlantic Ocean from the top points of this place. The rest of the day is free for leisure activities after check-in at the hotel or riad.

Rabat

Day 9: Rabat - Casablanca - Marrakech

After breakfast, drive to Casablanca via the highway. On arrival, visit the Hassan II Mosque, built in 1993 by over 6,000 craftsmen and set directly on the Atlantic coast. It is one of Morocco's largest mosques and one of the few where non-Muslims can enter. This part of the journey connects some of the most important imperial cities Morocco is known for, each revealing a different layer of the country’s history, architecture, and culture. After the visit, continue to Marrakech, around four hours south, where you will arrive with free time in the afternoon to relax or explore at your leisure.

Marrakech

Day 10: A Full Day in Marrakech: Morocco's Most Vibrant Imperial City

An official tour guide picks you up to explore Marrakech properly. Start from the walls of the city and the distinctive Koutoubia Minaret, followed by the Saadian Tombs, Bahia Palace, Medersa Ben Youssef, El Badii Palace, and the Majorelle Gardens.

Later, visit Jemaa El Fna Square, where the atmosphere shifts completely at night with performers, food stalls, and entertainment that spills in every direction. This is the Morocco cultural & desert itinerary at its most alive. After the tour, free time in the afternoon to relax or explore at your own pace.

Day 11: Marrakech Back to Agadir

After breakfast, begin the journey back to Agadir. On arrival, check in and enjoy the rest of the day freely. In the afternoon, visit the colorful Souk El Had Market, home to around 6,000 stalls, or simply settle onto Agadir's golden sandy beach and let the Atlantic do the rest.
